Welcome family and friends to the official one stop shop for everything you'll ever want to know about the Gardiners and our amazing adventure in Panama. If this is the first time you're hearing about our little trip, I'll explain; Jameson and I have both been offered positions as interns at Red Frog Beach. It's a resort development on a little island on the Caribbean side of Panama just 40 miles south of Costa Rica. Jameson will be in real estate development and I will be in sales and marketing. We will be there for at least 6 months. Yes that's right, we'll miss almost every ounce of winter, darn it! We are leaving in less than a week and can't wait. Even though I'm not exactly sure what we've gotten ourselves into and I'm slightly terrified of all the creepy crawlies that are waiting for us down there, I know this will be a major growing experience for us.
We fully intend to be as granola as our previously pampered little lives will allow. We've already bought several multi colored bandanas, lots of cargo shorts, and of course some brand new Tevas. We've also been watching plenty of Man vs. Wild so we're totally ready to ruff it in the jungle. I've got my pocket size survival guide to inform me which plants we can eat and which will kill us. So all in all I think we're ready to go.
